Wii FunAre you STILL on the fence about buying a Wii? Let me give you a few reasons why you should just go ahead and get one!

The Nintendo Wii isn’t your typical video gaming console where everyone just sits around and presses buttons and wiggles joysticks until their hands are sore. It truly does offer fun for the entire family. There are plenty of terrific games to choose from, and they are geared toward all ages and interests. Love the old classic games? You can download them from the Wii Shop Channel and play them using the Wii’s built-in Virtual Console that supports the older games. Still have some old GameCube games lying around? They are compatible with the Wii, so you don’t need to waste space keeping them both hooked up to your T.V.

Speaking of space, the Nintendo Wii is the smallest of all the video gaming consoles. It doesn’t take up much space, so you don’t have to re-arrange all the rest of your electronics to find a spot for it. But even though it’s small, it’s very well-constructed. And if you connect it to your WiFi signal, it will automatically download all the latest available system updates.

Is price a concern? The Wii’s retail price is substantially less than the PS3 and the XBox 360, and it actually comes with more built-in features. (Did you know that if you want to use your 360 with your wireless Internet connection, you need to cough up an extra $100 for the wireless network adapter? Ouch!)

And speaking of costs, I’m sure you’ve read all about how you can download your Wii games for free! If you haven’t, I’ve posted about it a lot… just take a look around the blog. (OK, here’s a link if you don’t want to spend time searching!)

So if you’ve been considering the purchase of a Wii, just do it! Once you have it up and running, you won’t be able to figure out why you waited so long.
