Nintendo Wii 2 (Project Cafe) is On Its Way!
Nintendo has confirmed that it is preparing for a “2012 launch” of its newest video gaming console, commonly known as the Wii 2, code-named Project Cafe.

In a departure from the current Wii system, the Wii 2 controller will have dual analog sticks and standard d-pad and trigger buttons. Resembling the current Xbox 360 controller, it’s also rumored to feature a six-inch touch-capable screen built right into the controller, for use not only in signaling the game console, but also for streaming entire games to play on the controller device!
It’s been promised that a functioning unit will be available to be played at this year’s E3 Expo, which will be held June 7-9 in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, rumors abound for this latest generation gaming system:
- It will contain an updated version of the AMD R7000 GPU architecture, as will as a triple-core IBM PowerPC chipset that will easily outpower the Xbox 360
- It will produce 1080p HD output and stereoscopic 3D images
- It will physically resemble the Xbox 360, having a look that Nintendo refers to as a “modernized SNES.”
In keeping with the Nintendo tradition of code-naming its systems, (Gamecube: Project Dolphin; Wii: Project Revolution), the new Wii 2 is currently code-named “Project Cafe.” A release name has not yet been leaked, but Stream has been rumored to be on the short-list of contenders.
Prepare for a price point in the $350-$400 range, and a holiday-season release date.
Download Super Paper Mario
If you enjoyed Paper Mario on your N64 or GameCube, you’ll fall in love all over again when you play Super Paper Mario on your Nintendo Wii console. What first appears to be the 2-D world of the old familiar Paper Mario universe quickly become a madcap, dimension-shifting world available in both 2-D and 3D! In the 3rd dimension, you will discover hidden paths, foes, and secrets as you make your way through the heretofore invisible depths in the 2-D landscape.
If you are interested in obtaining a copy of Super Paper Mario for the Wii, have you considered downloading it online? There are now countless web sites that advertise FREE game downloads for your Wii, just for a small membership fee. The problem with these sites is trying to select a reputable website that won’t rip you off!
Many of the files these sites make available for download are infected with spyware, adware, viruses, or other harmful programs that can royally mess up your computer. Other download sites will only allow you to download demo versions of games, and still others simply don’t work at all. So if you want to join a Wii download site, please do your research before you sign up.
As I’ve mentioned before, my favorite site for Wii downloads is New Gaming Experience. Once you join, you have absolutely no limits on what or how much you can download — enjoy unlimited access for the life of your membership!
So if you’d like to download Super Paper Mario, or any other game for your Wii, give New Gaming Experience a try!
